Back-to-Back Titles

In the history of beauty pageants there are only several countries to have won major international titles consecutively. Sweden was the first country to won a back-to-back Miss World title, Kerstin Håkansson was crowned in 1951 and May-Louise Flodin won in 1952.

In 1964 Ann Sidney bagged the Miss World title and on the following year she crowned her fellow British Lesley Langley.

The most recent Miss World back-to-back winners are from India when Yukta Mookhey crowned in 1999 and followed by Priyanka Chopra in 2000.

Miss Universe has its first back-to-back title in 2008 and 2009. Venezuela's Dayana Mendoza and Stefania Fernandez won the crown consecutively.

Philippines became is the first country to win a back-to-back title in Miss Earth. Jamie Herrell won last year and crowned her successor Angelia Ong this year.
