Maria Esther Cortes Molina had to give up her Miss World Nicaragua crown, and rumor is that her official reason is bogus.
Molina was supposed to represent the Latin American country at the 2014 Miss World Competition, which takes place on Dec. 14 in London, notes La Opinion.
Officially, the beauty queen is saying that she has to attend to personal matters, but she is supposedly giving up the grown because topless images of her have emerged.
"Miss World Nicaragua appreciates Miss Cortes Molina for her effort and dedication to our organization at this time," a press release from the organization said. "We wish her the best and success in all her ambitions in life."

Taking her place at the Miss World competition will be Yumara Lopez, who finished as the runner up.
Molina's images first started showing up in the last few days, and reports that the images were leaked by her ex-boyfriend, who wanted to cause damage to Molina's image.
Twitter handled the situation by backing Molina. The hashtag #condenaalmachismo, or condemn machismo, was started in support of Molina and other former beauty queens that have had similar experiences.

Miguel Martinez Arce has been blamed for spreading the images, and he wrote a letter to defend himself.
He explained that though he tweeted the picture, he wasn't the first person to come across it. He received the picture through WhatsApp, but he said the woman's face was hidden. He posted it and asked if anyone knew who it was.
Arce is a big fan and follower of beauty pageants, but he maintains that he had nothing to do with leaking the photos.
"I, in no moment, uploaded photos to bacanalnica.com," he said. "What's more, I insist that the representatives of the site reveal whose IP address it came from."
Bacanalnica has publicly condemned Arce.
