Miss Universe 2012 Fan Vote kicks off Today!

t’s that time of the year where Miss Universe preparations are on the way! Want to help your favorite Miss Universe contestant? Voting is open now!

New York, NY, November 15, 2012 – For the second year in a row, Miss Universe fans from around the world will be able to cast their vote for their favorite contestant online.

The fan vote begins November 15 at 4pm ET and ends December 18 at 6pm ET. The lucky winner will earn a spot in the semifinals at the 2012 MISS UNIVERSE®Competition.

Fans with a valid email address can cast their vote via www.missuniverse.com. Also joining this year’s fan vote is Telemundo Network, which will offer Spanish speaking fans their chance to vote at www.telemundo.com.

The Miss Universe Fan Vote is open to anyone located in, and a legal resident of the home countries of the 2012 Miss Universe contestants. Each person is allowed up to 10 votes per day from his/her email account.

The winner of the fan vote will be announced during the 2012 MISS UNIVERSE® LIVE telecast, which takes place on Wednesday, December 19 at 8pm ET on NBC from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Last year, more than 6 million fan votes were cast worldwide. Miss Universe Portugal 2011 Laura Goncalves was the winner of the fan vote allowing her to advance to the Top 10.
