Chuyện hậu trường của Donald Nguyễn về cuộc thi Miss Earth 2010 (DH thiếu thân thiện)

I stayed at Vinpearl Resort & Spa - Nha Trang from December 1 to 5, 2010. I have chances to sit in the same table with some contestants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of the girls I met are friendly but I like to hangout with Latin, African and some European girls.

And in my opinion, Miss Guatemala is the best for her personality, kindness and funny. But here is my shortlist of nice girls who were very sweet, polite and friendly (I don't like shy and boring girls): Australia, Botswana, Canada, Crimea, Ecuador, Guam, India, Italy, Jamaica, Latvia, Lebanon, Mauritius, Mongolia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, South Sudan, Thailand, USA and Venezuela.

I have heard many bad comments toward Miss Vietnam (confirmed by many contestants and national directors and even Vietnamese media): the worst friendly contestant, a drama queen, absolutely proud, her attitude is totally BAD, can not speak English well and very FAKE person. I am glad that she only made Top 14 as the host contestant but in my opinions, she is deserving in Top...40. Vietnam have done a great job but Miss Vietnam: BOOOOOOOOOOO!

Miss Germany is deserving to be crowned "Miss Drama Queen of the Year", she always cries in front of her boyfriend from the morning, noon, afternoon, evening and maybe in dreams (who know?).

After the show, I and Miss Lebanon sang "Salma ya Salama" in Arabic. Jihane Nehme wondered how can I sing that song in Arabic and I said because I love Dalida and Arab culture. Jihane is a sexy sweetie.

When I asked many contestants for their favorites to win, over 90% choices were: India and Ecuador and the final result is totally expected. But after the final show; I can see the upset face of misses Venezuela, USA and Italy. For me, the result of Miss Earth 2010 is OK-ish, but it would be perfect if included Miss Venezuela.

My seat was behind Miss India's family and I knew Anita Faria - Miss India's mother before and no wonder that Nicole became the first Miss Earth of India. Miss Mexico's family left the Amphitheater after Top 14 announcement (Oh well! It seems like the most common attitude of Mexicans).

I am so happy for the first Miss Earth placements of the Netherlands and Italy because my gang included: 4 Dutch friends, Miss Italy's boyfriend and we have many beautiful memories in Nha Trang.

Ukraine also placed in Miss Earth for the first time although she was not a favorite, Miss USA (Miss Ukraine's roommate) told me that Miss Ukraine arrived in Vietnam a week before the final coronation. Valentina Zhytnyk possibly placed because of the controversial participation of Crimea in the pageant, and ex-Ukrainian stunners were dismissed in Miss Earth before: Galyna Andreyeva (2007). So Top 14 is a deal to keeps Ukraine to send contestants in next years.

In my opinions, Nicole Faria is the best Grand Slam winner this year for her beauty, brain, behavior. She is the first perfect girl I've known since Dayana Mendoza (I don't like goddess beauties with bitch personality), I believe that you guys will love her not because of her unique beautiful face, smart answers, very kindly, sweet and absolutely real.

Finally, I wanna say thanks to Rose Foulger (national director of New Zealand), Kim Kötter (national director of the Netherlands), Arno Van Dorst (national director of Poland) and Robert Kötter (Kim's father) for given me a great time in Nha Trang and opportunity to take part in Miss Earth 2010. Hope to see you guys next year in Da Nang for Miss Earth 2011.
